By Michael Gable

The Australian market had a great run during April, with the S&P/ASX 200 Index gaining over 200 points. The index now hits some resistance so we would expect to see a cooling off here in the short term. This means that it’s probably not a bad time to put a bit of cash aside for upcoming opportunities. This week we take a look at National Australia Bank ((NAB)).

We have mentioned NAB a few times in the last few months, with $28 being our downside target and our buy zone. It is worth revisiting because of the market being sold off in March and the Banking Royal Commission occurring in April. Despite all this, we can see that NAB has held on to the February low, testing it twice again in April and bouncing up from that level. This further confirms $28 as a strong support level and we therefore still view NAB as a buying opportunity at current levels.
