UBS

Neutral

$29.00

8.61%

UBS retains Neutral while lifting its target to $29 from $28. FY26 underlying EBITDA met guidance, early FY27 same-store sales growth is running at a high-single-digit rate and FY27 margin guidance exceeded prior forecasts.

UBS has lifted FY27-FY29 earnings estimates by 13%-18%, but believes the improved outlook is adequately captured following the shares' strong re-rating.

First take: Guzman y Gomez's FY26 network sales increased 17.9% to $1.378bn and Australian underlying EBITDA rose 28.7% to $85m, while early FY27 comparable sales were running at high-single-digit growth.

Management guides to 35 new restaurants and a 6.7%-6.9% EBITDA margin, while the US exit supports a 14.4c special dividend and an expanded $100m buyback.

UBS retains Neutral, viewing strong domestic execution as offset by rollout risk and a demanding valuation. Target $28.

FORECAST
UBS forecasts a full year FY27 dividend of 48.00 cents and EPS of 54.00 cents.
UBS forecasts a full year FY28 dividend of 63.00 cents and EPS of 70.00 cents.

3

Neutral

$17.60

-34.08%

Jarden retains a Neutral rating for Guzman y Gomez with its target price increased to $17.60 from $17.30 following a corporate trading update.

The strategic decision to exit the United States market is seen as signaling capital discipline and a renewed focus on maximising shareholder returns.

The exit involves one-off costs between -US$30m and -US$40m, although the actual cash impact is expected to remain below -US$15m.

Strong Australian operating earnings guidance of approximately $85m drives modest upgrades to core domestic estimates, despite indications of a near-term slowing in fourth-quarter comparable sales.

Surging digital transaction volumes and targeted promotional programs continue to offset a potential moderation in drive-thru demand stemming from elevated cost-of-living pressures, the broker notes.

FORECAST
Jarden forecasts a full year FY27 dividend of 30.70 cents and EPS of 45.90 cents.
