Next week will be punctuated by the Fourth of July holiday in the US on the Wednesday. This interruption will likely impact on the market’s capacity to signal any direction following a volatile week of end of quarter, and in Australia, end of financial year, portfolio rejigging.

The US will nevertheless pack a lot of economic data releases into either side of the holiday. They include construction spending, factory orders, vehicle sales, trade and the ADP private sector and official non-farm payrolls jobs reports. The minutes of the June Fed meeting are due on Thursday.

Monday is manufacturing PMI day across the globe and Wednesday services PMIs, with the US services report coming a day later. China will publish its PMIs tomorrow.

Other data releases in Australia next week include ANZ job ads, building approvals, retail sales and trade.  The RBA will meet on Tuesday, although it’s unclear as to why.

On the local stock front, Cimic ((CIM)) reports earnings on Monday.

There is a long list of stocks going ex-div on Monday but they’re all All Ords dwellers, not ASX300 constituents, so they won’t make any noticeable impact.
