After the run of events this week, next week is going to seem like a holiday on the financial calendar. That said, the Bank of England meets on Thursday to round out the run of major policy meetings, and the much anticipated OPEC meeting is on Friday.

The US will see housing sentiment, starts, prices and existing home sales next week, along with the Philly Fed index. Friday sees flash manufacturing PMIs from the US, Japan and eurozone.

China is closed on Monday.

New Zealand’s March quarter GDP result is out on Thursday.

Australia’s only economic highlight for the week is the release of the RBA minutes on Tuesday, followed by the chairman speaking on Wednesday.

The corporate calendar continues to wind down as we approach year-end, with Sydney Airport’s ((SYD)) monthly traffic numbers on Wednesday the only highlight so far.

Thursday nevertheless brings the quarterly expiry of futures and index options, which can lead to volatility.
