Sell in May and go away? We actually might have already seen a low for now. Today we also provide updated technicals on Appen ((APX)).

[Note: Machine learning and AI company Appen was last week elevated into the ASX200 index, effective this Friday – Ed]

APX has been in a nice uptrend for the last couple of years, increasing in value by a factor of 10. We recently noted on 27 May when it was trading at $9.44 that it was now resuming the uptrend. After hitting $11, it then consolidated against the old high in the form of a symmetrical triangle. In the last week, APX has broken free of the triangle to trade to a new high. The shares are now resuming the uptrend and investors should expect to see higher levels over time. Any short-term dip is therefore a buying opportunity.
