US non-farm payrolls data are out tonight but in 2019, they just don't engender the same level of anticipation they once did. Not with the Fed on Hold.

Chinese data will be back in the spotlight with February trade numbers today, inflation on the weekend, and industrial production, retail sales and fixed asset investment next Thursday.

January numbers for US retail sales, industrial production and durable goods are, I believe, due next week, as a catch-up following the catch-up. I'm not sure how long this release lag will last, given February retail sales and industrial production numbers are also on the prior schedule for next week, along with CPI and PPI. Maybe, maybe not.

The Bank of Japan holds a policy meeting on Friday.

Locally we'll see housing finance data and the NAB business and Westpac consumer confidence surveys.

It's another big week for ex-dividends on the local market. Bigger names among those going ex include OZ Minerals ((OZL)), News Corp ((NWS)), Sims Metal Management ((SGM)) and CSL ((CSL)).

Note that the US goes onto summer time on the weekend. From Tuesday morning the NYSE will close at 7am Sydney time, as will our SPI Overnight.
