Markets continue to tread water and momentum indicators continue to show a lack of conviction. An interesting statistic out of the US shows that in the first quarter this year, the amount of selling by "insiders" was the highest since February 2011.
Moving on to today's report, we look at Whitehaven Coal ((WHC)).
We looked at WHC on 21 February and noted the formation of a symmetrical triangle as the stock consolidates the big move from 2016. We were looking for a strong close above $3 and we have now seen the stock do that on high volume. This breakout means that WHC should now rally to a new high. Traders should place a stop just under the breakout zone.
