Your Editor On Switzer: Coppock Suggests Buy

FNArena Talks | Aug 27 2012

Some 43 months ago (in early 2009) FNArena editor Rudi Filapek-Vandyck made his first appearance on Switzer TV to talk about what seemed back then a rather exotic market indicator: The Coppock Signal. Last week, he re-appeared to look back and update what this market indicator is signalling to investors today.

Also, the FNArena editor is quick in pointing out not every ASX-listed stock has proved to be an excellent investment since 2009. Regardless, there is an increasing number of market indicators pointing towards another upswing for equities, such as the yield on US Treasuries, which once again has dipped to near 2009 lows. Investors holding a diversified investment portfolio better not underestimate the devastating consequences a correction in government bonds can have on their invested capital, warns the FNArena editor, plus many of the equities he has been championing over the years past look fully valued today.

Does this mean everything has now fallen in place for the next bull market? Some scepticism seems but warranted, including because developments in China are still not living up to expectations.
